He walks in
There she sleeps
Under silk
sheets pressing against even softer skin
Oh, how she glows
innocent radiance
A little angel lost in this twisted world
alone in her little world
protected from the hate and turmoil outside
Someday she'll be flawed
but not today
Capture this one moment
hold it as close as you can
Someday someone will hurt her
Nothing you can do will save her
her innocence will wash away
in a flood of tears
Down the tear
smooth, round, perfect
smashing on the ground
shattering souls
the shards evaporating,
never to be again recovered
