The silence is deafening
Echoing in the abyss of my soul
Sad
My tears like a waterfall down my cheek
Something so beautiful for something so sad
Alone
My innermost being shouts out to you
Touch, your hand against my wet cheek
Memories
Why can't I forget you?
Why does the yearning still hurt?
Dejected
I reach out my hand towards you
But you're no longer there
It's empty.
I'm sad,
And in my loneliness I remember you.
Resigned I sigh,
And life goes on.
