In My Time of Need

Grief

Now I fall into the darkness, And my own heart does digress; Into lonliness and despair, Though I have found my lady fair.
Here I lay before thee, For only thy eyes to see. And I beg of thee, my love; To come to me, a crystal dove.
And my darling, I shall ask of thee, Lend thy hand and please save me. For I am in my time of need, And in this heart I pain indeed.
Please open thy arms, my dear, Within thy carress, take my fear. Do not turn thy face away, I am the most fragile clay.
Please, my love, touch me in tenderness, And my troubled heart would thee bless. For this is my time of need, And to my heart's salvation lead.
