Dragonflies in the Dark

Late Night
on the front porch
full moon reflecting off puddles
and a warm summer breeze wafting my hair
snuggled on a swing
with a faint hum coming from the darkness
as the dragonflies hover around
comforting my falling tears
so near, yet so far
bringing me dreams of peace
and finally,
sleep
