No, I can not, cause I'm frightened.

Can't I just say 'How do you do?'
I don't know you, but I need you.
No, I can not, cause I'm frightened.
Now I know you, but I still want you,
everytime I hear your name.
I'm not frightened, cause I've built up,
the courage to say 'How do you do?'
