What if I don't succeed?
I would be in despair.
What if I were in despair?
I would be depressed.
What if I were depressed?
I would be in pain.
What if I were in pain?
I would want to die.
What if I wanted to die?
I would kill myself.
What if I killed myself?
I would go to hell.
What if I went to hell?
I would be tormented.
What if I were tormented?
I wouldn't have killed myself.
What if I wouldn't have killed myself?
I would have succeeded!
