La bonheur de ma mere (My mother's bliss)...

Contributed by FleurdeSang on Friday, 13th August 2004 @ 10:35:54 AM in AEST
Topic: dedicatedpoems

Happiness has finally found you
Love occupies your heart once more
And hopefully, it works out
This joy that I feel for you, ma mere,
Is unbearable, for you are now touching the same love that I once had
This man that has entered your life for only three days,
Anyone can plainly see by the sparkle in your eyes,
That there is something reserved for him in your heart
Such a beautiful person,
And yet, you are given the worst situations to handle with
But you handle them with hope and a clear, optimistic mind
Ma mere, you are very dear to me,
And seeing this smile across your face,
Nothing could make me any happier
Those days where youd come home late, weary and petulant,
From a hard day at work
The only sleep you get is after you have spent the last hour crying,
And your eyes, bulbous and red, at long last, give out to a dreamless sleep
Only to wake to another day of stress and over-working yourself
However, now with this new individual in your life,
I see a difference when you come home
I hear a distinction in your voice when the subject turns to him
When he calls just to hear your voice,
I can see your walls break down, and welcome him in
Embrace this now while you still have it
Joy doesnt last forever, and neither does love
Envelop yourself in this new light,
And enjoy his company, his love
Your happiness is my happiness, ma mere
And may God bless you with a bond that will never break
With a love that will last until time itself ends
Because you deserve the very best of everything!
Je taime, Ma Cheri Mere!

I hope the love you once had can be found or felt again. For, your happiness is just as deserved. I hope votre mère is still blissfull as well. You have both earned joy and it should be yours.

Nazmythian ~
