My Fallen Angels

Contributed by Iesha on Monday, 16th August 2004 @ 05:18:39 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

I am surrounded by angelic friends,
I see their innocence shinging though their eyes.
I look at them as my angels on Earth,
Here to guide me through anything.

Everything slowly starts off with a little fun.
A drink here a toke there, nothing much.
It becomes more common to see them drunk,
Than it is to see them sober.

My world is spinning out of my conrtol,
I see my angels falling around me,
Their hearts are screaming out to me for help.
I can't seem to stop anything.

I look into my angels eyes and yet they are gone.
I want to take them into my arms and shield them.
If I could I would keep the world from hurting them,
Why can't I just do that one thing for them.

I scream at the world to leave them be,
Why can't the world leave the innocence alone.
I see them fading away before my eyes,
And I am helpless to stop any of it.

I see the pain this causes them.
I cry out to my lost angels,
Hoping to see the innocence come back,
Hoping to see the life in their eyes.

As I see them fall, life begins to drain.
The pain I feel bleeds into my system.
I want to stop it all for them.
For them I would die.

One day I will find the way.
Find the way to take their pain away,
I will take it up and make it die with me.
Anything to help, I will do for them.

Every day I will plead and beg, for a way,
I will make it happen, I will take it away.
I have found my mission in life,
And now it's time to run the path for my angels.
