The Kiss

Topic: DarkPoetry

Crushed under the deep red waves,
my blood spills into the salty abyss,
as your words ring through my head,
I remember, what you gave me....your kiss.

This is for you, to have forever,
and to know that my love for you will last,
and as you fade away,
just know, that I'll be back.

Then the kiss, the one that brought my death,
as you stabbed me in the heart,
My blood spilled upon the grass,
as from this world, I did depart.

Your promise rings through my ears,
I hear your voice echoing,
As I think about your words,
I can hear the truth they bring.

I know now that you will be back,
once again to take me from the world,
I know that you'll try your hardest,
but I won't go, I won't believe your words.

You'll speak of love,
Like you did before,
but I can remember.....
I remember.....

Crushed under the deep red waves,
my blood spills into the salty abyss,
as your words ring through my head,
I remember, what you gave me....your kiss.

And now I'm out of your grasp,
I have a family, and a lover,
And he'll protect me,
He won't let you take me under.

You tried to come for me,
tried to attack my children,
But now you know the extent,
of what he'll do for me in the end.

Because I've told him,
of what you try to do,
and he knows I remember....
you know I remember....

Crushed under the deep red waves,
my blood spills into the salty abyss,
as your words ring through my head,
I remember, what you gave me....your kiss.

Wow ! Great write. Forgiving can sometimes be the easy part. But forgetting ... some things you just can't. I can relate.
