As pain presently persists Tears suffocated in my soul Anguish alive in my midst Forgetfulness my truest goal.
Guilt consumes my being. To forgive must one forget? Forget all of the tormenting, Where pain and sadness met?
Through a power not my own I forgave the hurtful you. The most hate that I've ever know Is gone, my heart's been made anew.
Thanks to the King of Kings My heart no longer hates. But on the inside tears are falling To grieve of this forever ache.

This is a dilemma, and one I face as well. You don't forget, but I think putting it behind you with forgiveness is the first step forward. |

Wow . . . this is so raw, so painful, so wrenchingly honest it's almost hard to read . . . this is beautiful, this is in a sense almost inspiring, my heart is aching here, and there's really nothing more to say.
hugs,

All blessings to you as you walk the road to forgiveness and healing. It's a hard road, because it's something against our human nature. But as you said, it's not our own strength. All we have to do is keep putting one foot after the other ahead on the road.
Excellent piece.

I really hate it when he puts you through all that pain. I can see it all over your face. Hear it in your voice. Your pain does pain me.
Take care, no Love.

I understand the struggle to forgive a parent who has hurt you. Well done. |
