A wounded soul
A crying heart
You're sick inside
All torn apart.
Silent, though
Your sorrow be
You're hiding, running
Fearfully.
You need a friend
To mirror your pain
So that your hurt
Is not in vain.
I'll cry with you
I'll hurt with you
Be crushed, be mad
Be strong for you.
Open up
Please, start to cope
You need a friend
You need to hope.
You love the Lord
As He loves you
Learn from this pain
He's given you.
Here is my love
My sympathy too.
You have my heart---
For it goes out to you.

Not only is this poem beautifully structured with wonderful rhythm, the writer proves to be a very good friend. Aren't we all glad to have Carrie in our lives?

Great poem Carriebearie... it is very much a Davidic writing (not King David, but David Lossing) I think he is influencing you in that area. Just don't lapse into his love poem patterns... *gag*
