My Dark Gray Sky

There's so much pain inside of me
Locked inside, trying to break free
Each and every night I pray
Asking God for forgiveness every day
The sound gets further from my ears
With it, taking all of my fears
And yet the secrets still remain
The voices desperately call out my name
Searching for a helping hand
Trying to find someone who will understand
All the lies building up inside
Until there's nowhere left to hide
So I fall down to my knees and cry
Looking up at the dark gray sky
Calling out God's name
Asking him to take away the pain
As my tears fall to the ground
I look and see there's no one around
I'm all alone once again
Waiting for my broken heart to mend
