I've felt it

Contributed by amber1988 on Friday, 20th August 2004 @ 08:58:45 AM in AEST
Topic: toughstuff

I've felt what it's like to know there's nothing you can do
When things get hard you just gotta stick it through
And pray
That everything will be ok
I know what it's like to be scared of everything you do
Fearing you'll get in trouble and thinking "What else is new?"
Iv'e felt what it's like to cry myself to sleep
That's all I used to do at night was weep
And pray
That everything would be ok
I've felt what it's like to know you can't do anything
That nothing is gonna get you out of this hell that you're living
And nothing you say will help you
And thinking not even praying is helping me through
Through all these horrible days that I wish I was dead
And being so happy when it was time to go to bed
Yes, I've lived it
And it was hard
But now im out of there
I've been dealt a new card
And I believe one thing
One thing that's true
I've grown stronger because of it
And so can any of you

Good write.. I love the positive attitude, but the abbreviations seem to take something away from the poem....
