One last slit

Contributed by Miss_erika on Saturday, 21st August 2004 @ 03:13:57 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

She catches her tears
in a little glass jar
that she keeps hidden beneath the floorboards.
she lays inside the burnt circle
and wishes her pain no more.

she cuts once
for being taunted
she cuts twice
for being neglected
she cuts and cuts and cuts some more
untill theres a puddle on her floor.

she whipes it up with her hands
and writes her name and the date
in her blood on the wall
she smiles and says,
this is it,
one more slit,
and it ends it all.
