Everyone is meant to have a pillar of faith, a pillar of strength
Something to lean on when the going gets tough, the going gets rough
The spirit is easily damaged and morale quickly lost,
But all that is needed is much love and much faith, that will always be enough
Different people have different objects that remind them to carry on,
Something to remind them, for others, to continue to be strong
The path may be difficult and it may be very long,
But with your soul infused with faith, few things can go wrong
A cherished memory, of things that've past, now long gone
A simple melody, a lullaby, a wonderful old tune
A picture of a loved one, perhaps who died too soon
Maybe it is something that reminds you of the past, like the ever-shining, bright white moon
No matter what gives you the determination to carry on with life
No matter what gives you the power to overcome your strife
Just remember that there will always be a faith symbol there
No matter how tough it really gets in this life that is not so fair...
