The Absence of Color

Contributed by Nazmythian on Monday, 23rd August 2004 @ 12:21:00 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

( White is the essence of all color ~ and black ...? )

There are places that exist within my mind
Harboring the darkest of thought and malicious intent
What light that is not absorbed and tainted
Skitters and shies away, fearful of the absence of color

Neither white nor black are colors, they are both prisms for colors to come shining through. When it is dark, only the light can shine through bringing with it a rainbow of the spectrum of reality.
Nicely portrayed. Short but sensible.

Sometimes succinct is much more profound. I tend to be too wordy.

I know of these places in my mind. Malicious with hate in mind. Thank you for this poem, short but to the point!

Short, yet compelling and beautiful. I loved this piece. You have a talent, mon cher Naz. A true minstrel. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful piece of your written thoughts. Simplicity is best. Very profound. Love it. Absolutely perfect, my friend. Much love! Forever,

Votre fleur de sang
