LATE NIGHT THOUGHTS
Tonight I was alone The children fast asleep Thoughts inside my head I wanted to bury deep
Memories from the past I tried to push away No matter how hard I tried They would not go away
Again I tried to distract My mind on other things But looking through the tears Sadness it did bring
I tried to be so strong I tried to then let go
But every time I turned my head Id feel a little low
At night I think like this I think of all the pain Wondering whether tomorrow Will repeat itself again

Nice write that. I like your choice of words
to keep the flow of the write going til the end. Nice work.

I really like this.
Many of what I've written have been the result of sleepless nights. I think it's because it's when we are most alone.
Great write! |
