Just Before You Fall Asleep
August 24, 2004

I give this message, these words from me,
Remember to always listen for them carefully.
Just before you fall asleep,
Hear these words for you to keep.

Never forget how much I loved you,
And feel it in your heart every day.
Dont listen to what anyone says,
Negativity only brings the wrong type of sensitivity

Keep a picture on your nightstand,
That photo of you and me, so happy
And murmur every night
That same lullaby

Just because Im gone doesnt mean I cant be there
If you keep me in your heart Ill always be near.
Never let yourself down, its yourself you need to love
When all else fails above

Trust me now, people change
Remember to move on, to forgive
And never hate, itll only make your heart have dark spaces
And I cant stand to see you grow up along those empty faces
