You saw me from across the room And came and introduced yourself I loved the way your eyes smiled
Later on you taught me to dance Your style, country style, two-step We twirled and dipped and I smiled
We talked and walked and got to know Each others past and future plans We laughed and joked and smiled
You're the kind of guy I'm looking for Sweet and sensitive and strong When I was around you my soul smiled
But later I was out on the balcony You had your arms around my sister She did something she hasn't in awhile - smiled
She doesn't know, and neither do you How much I like you, so I'm begging you - Whatever you do - make her smile...

That is the true devotion of a sister. A fabulous write, Jaime. I hope your sister still smiles. I hope you too have found something to smile about as well.

*is almost sniffly*
I absolutely love this . . . it's just perfect. Among the best poems about familial love I've ever seen . . . I can't say enough how much I loved this poem. Beautifully done :).

Oh, I agree with the other comments here. This is very touching. It really is nice to read something like this without finding any bitterness or anger in it. Your sister is lucky to have you!
Wishing you smiles,
SNM
