Forgive, Dont Forget

Contributed by x-dying-ragdoll-x on Wednesday, 25th August 2004 @ 04:13:09 PM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

If we could float to another land
would you travel by my side
if you could see my whole past
would you care about how i cried
do you care whats happened to me
and what i have gone through
or do you just want the future
and for me to be with you
do you want to see my arms
and the scars that cover them
do you care what i have been through
do you see I have no friends
if you just want to hid the truth
and look past all my lies
i have to say that this wont worl
you cant ignore my painful cries
I cant forget what Ive been through
its a part o me that passes
and i want you to forgive me
so we can love and last
please forgive the things I've done
and the person I still am
be in love with my harsh scars
and dont fall for the false glame

Forgiveness comes easier than forgetfullness..it's easy for most ppl to confuse the two. In relationships it's also easy for partners to forget that you not only get the present and future of your loved one..but you get the past as well. Good poem :)

i think this was amazing on the contrary. your title caught my eye because its one of my mottos. let go of what is no longer important. learn from the past and let it go, dont let go of what you learned from it.
