Will I Ever See You

Contributed by stellar on Friday, 27th August 2004 @ 08:30:18 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

So many times I wonder where you are
And if you're lonely on your own
You took me in and cared for my soul
You're the only love I've ever known

So will I ever see you again
The night has me standing on end
Through time alone
My broken heart will mend
But will I ever see you again

I wish you could see how she smiles like you
A light in a dark room is what you were
Tonight I'll be alone
Just like so many nights to come
Asking when you'll be coming home

So will I ever see you again
The night has me standing on end
Through time alone
A broken heart will mend
But will I ever see you again

You promised me everything in this world
Now you've left me on this earth
With a little girl
How do I explain to her
Why you won't be here to see her shine

And will she ever see you...?

So sad! But it's also hopeful when you say through time alone my broken heart will mend. Very nice!

I can relate to that, it's a question I've asked myself many many times. But you gotta live everyday for what it is and stop looking at the future or you'll miss the present. Keep hope and time does heal. Keep writing!
