I LOOK OFTEN A THE SKIES ABOVE,
WONDERING WHAT I DID TO DESERVE YOUR LOVE.
THE BIRDS FLY OVER HEAD,
I AM EASILY READ.
I NEVER MAKE A PROMISE I DONT INTEND TO KEEP,
SO WHEN I SAY FOREVER! FOREVER IS WHAT I MEAN.
I DREAM OF LOVE EVERLASTING,
MY HEART IS IN IT AND FASTING.
I WANT TENDERNESS IN THE HEART OF GOLD,
I WANT YOUR LOVE FOREVER TOLD.
I LIKED THE FEEL OF YOUR SWEET GENTLE KISS,
I AM TELLING YOU HOW MUCH YOU ARE MISSED.
SO MANY THINGS I WANT TO SAY BUT THE WORDS DON'T COME EASILY,
MY HEART IS BROKE AND QUEEZY.
THE BIRDS SINGING OUTSIDE,
THE PAIN I FEEL ALL INSIDE.
I SEE THE RED BUD ROSE,
I MISS HOW YOU KISSED MY NOSE.
I TRIED TO LIVE MY LIFE FROM DAY TO DAY,
HOW COULD I GIVE THIS LOVE AWAY.
