Didn't We?

Didn't We?
August 30, 2004

Didn't we mean what we said?
About all the times,
We'd share together ahead?
Didn't we love eachother,
Enough to stay together.
Didn't we fight sometimes,
But always recover?
Didn't we? Didn't we?
We used to laugh together, didn't we?
And live together, love together,
Nothing could have been better.
Didn't we spend every second with eachother?
To never miss a moment,
Of happiness, this, didn't we?
Didn't we see the changes,
Expect them and supress them,
Because everybody said that would happen?
We slept together, wept together,
Didn't we feel eachother?
Didn't we promise eachother,
No matter what, our love would prevail?
And that nothing could tear us apart,
Didn't we share our hearts?

We didn't mean what we said,
Just words put down to please,
That meant nothing like these.
We didn't love eachother,
Long enough, hard enough,
To never see another.
We didn't recover,
From fights, just set them aside,
Never working it out.
We didn't laugh together,
Not live, nor love, only shout,
About how it could have better,
If we didn't see eachother.
We didn't stick together when,
The times got hard, it was then,
That we split, let it slip,
Together, we didn't fight the changes,
Just rolled over the new,
We didn't know what to do.
We didn't love eachother, nor share our hearts,
We didn't do anything to stop or gaurd.
Most of all, though
We didn't mean what we said,
Only long enough to get eachother in bed,
And then it was over, cause
We didnt appreciate what was.

It was sad, but it was written well. Seems like nothing lasts forever. Keep up the good work!!!
