Outside the Hazel

Contributed by Exodus-On-Life on Tuesday, 31st August 2004 @ 01:49:29 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

And here I stand.
Lost and alone as I shall be.
Let unto those...
And you shall let them unto me.

Long time running,
And we saw your fateful stare.
Those beautiful eyes saw straight through me.
And for that moment, I was never there.

Maybe it was the softest breeze,
Or a taste of something untouchably good.
It's like I'm still stuck in nowhere.
It's the way you created, not like I could.

The driving force of remembrances.
That thorn stuck in the crook of your smile.
I miss the crinkle you had outside of the hazel.
It dances in my dreams, memories all the while.

Crazy are the ways that you hate me.
And the unread letters that I will never again send.
I tried so hard to reach you in one piece.
But, stuck here and shattered, it seems this is the end.

This is a very well written poem. It definitely deserves more attention than what its gotten. Its so sad....:( I really liked these lines"
"And we saw your fateful stare.
Those beautiful eyes saw straight through me.
And for that moment, I was never there." and the ending was great, in the writing sense that is. Love can be so cruel...= I hope all is well.
