Has This Dream Stopped?

Contributed by mrmojorisin on Tuesday, 31st August 2004 @ 10:39:23 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Moon casts his shadows
Night swallows the lands
Lizard flicks his tongue
Eyes shining brightly
Like stars in the dark
Breaking the barren void

The covers are warm
My pillow is deep
Join me tonight
In eternal sleep

Body rots in the grave
Once was someones son
Now a nestm of maggots
The true king is dead
No one to turn to
In the Valley of Tears

Come with me now Love
Closer, feel the warmth
Touch me one last time
Show me what fear means

Have you forgotten already
Dreams of our foolish mind
Visions of birth and death
Hopes to pierce the dark
But you're alone in the night
With lions, hungry, roaming.

Nightmares come true
You walk on water
Waving goodbye as
I drown in the bay.

This Dream has just begun
