MILKING 911 - WALKING ON THE DEAD

Contributed by steeleyes on Wednesday, 1st September 2004 @ 02:43:53 AM in AEST
Topic: political

Ruthlessly they milk 9/11
Raking over your grief and fears
For political gain these ugly men
Spare nothing to spill your tears

What kind of heartless men
Would do such a callous thing?
politicians addicted to power
Your every tear they'll ring

Again and again they'll use 9/11
All for political gain
Political plans and tasteless schemes
Caring NOTHING for your pain

Hear them abuse the memory of the dead
To get some political edge
This is political sleaze at its worst
All the lies that they can dredge

In every way on every day
They use the dead to win a vote
How sick these Republicans are
On the dead they hang their coat

Over and over hear them repeat
And USE that tragic day
Simply to keep dirty hands on power
This is a sickening way

Milk the issue that's what they want
Milk it 'till it's dry
These corrupt souls in business clothes
Disrespect all who die

The idealistic troops they also abuse
Just more pawns for their game
This band of sicko Republican frauds
Who on the dead do play

Beneath contempt these liars all
Distract us from their fraud
Using the memory of 9/11
With words both crass and flawed

How sick this is that they arrogant strut
They walk upon the dead
Just to stay top dog in an evil world
And by your grief - be fed

Awsome poem as usual, brilliantly written, and very accurate and true. I hope you joined others to march in NY against george of arabia!
Keep up the great work!
