I am surrounded by darkness,
My heart throbbing as every second slips by,
Faces appearing in flashes,
Hands stretching,
Grabbing me towards my death
I fight a merciless struggle,
Waiting like a pitiful worm,
Hoping that someone will come,
Some hero, some savior, someone who cares,
Someone who I will sing praises to until my dismay.
My prayers unheard, unanswered.
I sit fearful, cold, wounded and hungry.
Calling out for help,
Screaming through the dark void that envelops my very existence.
I lay, accepting death as my only savior,
Knowing no one would care for a pitiful worm,
An outcast thrown like rotting meat to be ripped apart by stray dogs,
Rupturing my flesh, drinking my blood,
Slowly my life slips by, my hopes, my dreams
My very existence.
