My House

Contributed by Schnikes13 on Thursday, 2nd September 2004 @ 05:34:43 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Collapsed on the floor when it all sunk in
Stuck inside my home will all of my friends
Stayed up all night, and Im so sick
We all promised each other it was until the end
Now were on roller-coasters
All five of us
All handsome boys everyone dies to love
Cant I resist today?
Oh, cant I resist today.

Best friend cries out, and its no pose
Because when he crashes, he goes and goes
A stab through the heart, such a cruel joke
I feel no need to repeat things spoken
Best friend gets so down and gets so dim
I wish I could take the pain away from him
Things are all in bloom
Summer will be over soon

Its all right
But it hurts to be so alone
But Ill hold onto my feelings like secrets
In my house

Maybe I was in way over my head
I fell apart at all the things he said
But hes so great, and Im so curt
All 5 of us in love; weve all been hurt
Gazing at the sky, the smooth velvet sheet
Wishing I could melt from the summer heat
Maybe we moved too fast,
Maybe great things arent meant to last

Things will be alright
Just put yourself in their hands
But I hold onto my secrets in my house
Love, or happiness, burned through my veins
And I pray it never fades in my house

My true love, too great to explain
Rush of compassion, a sting of pain
On a summer night, its for the best, I think
Silence, my first mistake

Maybe youre all too good for me
Wed fight for each other so quickly
All your wounds, I promise to mend
Still I feel so far from where Ive been
So I go, I promise to be back here again
Im gone as the sun sets on my house
Ive lied; put my injuries all in the dust
My world revolves around the 5 of us
In my house

And you, maybe youll stay with me
What I give to you is yours to forever keep
In my house
