You smiled and took my hand
that night you searched my eyes
the nights and days that would follow
would change me more than I could have realized
on this particular sombre night
I caught a glimpse of your soul
I was amazed and relieved to find
that it was identical to mine
you made me forget my pain
every day I dismissed the blade
My scars became invisible
and you were there in every way
But I guess this was inevitable
and all good things must meet their end
These memories of us I keep in my heart
and I hope I'm in yours as well
