I am scared,
Scared of my existence.
Am I worth the breath given to me?
Am I worth the life flowing through my veins?
Why am I here?
This dark maze of life, purpose, death
This labyrinth that holds me bound.
Knowing that every breath I take,
A part of my existence is taken.
Why am I alive? Id rather die!
I close my eyes and a vision appears to me,
My life, my steps, my beginning my end.
Filled with disgust and sham, I open my eyes and cry,
I cry for my existence that has been a waste!
My life of thrash is deemed to end,
I know that I am unworthy of this world.

| A bit simplistic and a structure that does tend to jump but I must admit a write that does enraptures the readers in that capsule of this poem you call "emptiness". It could be my mood of despair but I applaud this here write for it is to me at least a relateable one. No sparks that flies perhaps but those lines doth drag the soul into an introspective dive...." I know that I am unworthy of this wordl" indeed.... nice write...for this I can relate to. |
