In The Light Of The Fireplace's Soft Glow

Here I sit... in the light of the fireplace's soft glow
Where thoughts of you... are warming my soul
The music of my heart... is playing sweet and low
And I'm wishing you were here by my side
Because I can envision you in my mind's eye
It's been such a long time... since I last stared into those beautiful eyes
That sparkle and shine in soft glow of love's pale moonlight

The last time I saw you...
Was the last time I held you
The last time we touched...
Was when I held you close in my arms
And you just melted as we became one
I whispered... "I love you..."
And in reply... you whispered it to me too...
Much to my heart's delight

Ah... this light... the roaring glow of the hearth...
It plays such tricks upon the heart... the mind... the eyes
For a moment... a brief second in time...
I thought... I caught... a glimpse of you
From the corner of my eye...
Standing there beside me... smiling through those beautiful eyes
But I guess... it was only my imagination...
Maybe I was just dreaming...
Hoping against hope... of seeing your beautiful eyes
In the light of the fireplace's soft glow...
