I hated you when you dropped me
And when I shattered on the ground
You stepped on all the pieces
I hated you then but I didn't make a sound
I went crazy for you forever
Way back when we had love
I was crazy for you back then
And my heart still beats for you, as it always does
I missed the way your eyes crinkled
And the beautiful corners on your lips
I missed the warmth from my heart
It was the most incredible aching kiss
I was so angry when I never saw you
How I'd wait around day after day
I had all these empty feelings
That were full of things I always forgot to say
I grew stronger with all new values
And I grew stronger as I pretended to be
So very hopeless all over
All over as you still hated me
I remember all the nights I took for granted
And all the calls that ended in just goodbye
I wish I could write down I love you all over
But there isn't even close enough space for it in the whole wide sky
You see I once for you lied to myself
And I once believed that I was
But now I remember everything
And my heart still beats for you, just as it always does
But now, it seems
Alone and sometimes still in the darkest despair
I still seem to dream about you
And I always awake to find you nowhere
I would write to you everyday if I could
But it seems that I have no faith in myself
I learned the hard way to love nothing
But it was you that taught me to love nothing else
In the end I was happy
And waiting doesn't seem so bad after all
I think I will always be there for you
Ready to catch you, if you ever, ever fall

Hmm lost me with this poem, sounds more like lost love, than something posted dark.
It had all the emotions of sadness, remorse, and painted a vivid picture of what you were going through, and that I liked.
All in all It was still an awesome read and thanx for sharing.

it hurts....it hurts bad! but it only works out wrong becoz its not where ur meant to be! i thort i loved a guy once....and it ended so hurtfully...but now that i've found someone else....i've discovered real love....becoz it's where i'm meant to be :)
u never know where fate is taking u! ;)
this was a very vivid write tho....i loved it!....amazing how strong emotions spill out with words sometimes! |
