The Third Time (My Trip To PC)

Contributed by Exodus-On-Life on Monday, 6th September 2004 @ 09:30:22 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

It's the last night of your memory
Tainted yet you remain so unscathed
I wish for the life of me I could reach out to you
But you've drown yourself in deceit and hate

It's not that I value your truth
But I somehow fit in with your lies
I wish for the life of you that you'd reach me
But it's too late for that and the tears dry your eyes

I still hold your photograph
And I wish I could tattoo it on my heart
But no matter what you do or where you go
You will never tear your photograph apart

You seemed to up and forget me
We both know that could never be true
I wish for the life of me you could admit sorrow
But then again, it's a whole new you

So tear me apart with all your pages
As I toss away the evil memories you seemed to have bind
I'm tossed and in between the grinder
But I'm happy that you could have been so kind

For a moment without you is just more than I can bear
But wait a moment and try not to forget
It's more than a surrender
It's the fact that you love to regret

So take notice of all the emptiness
That you filled into my head
For when you left me unwanted
I left my world for dead

But the space that consumed you
I seemed to bring you back all the way to this world
For high and soaring were you
You silly, forgetful girl

Remember when I told you
That fact will never remain unsaid
Remember when I told you
You will never escape a thought in this sorrowful head

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
