The Pain of being apart, begains to tear at my heart,
Time goes by so slow, sometimes my feeling for are hard to show,
At times I'm scared to death, at others I can't catch my breath,
Even though you can't see them in my eyes, I'm gonna make this poem cry,
It seems like a life time has passed, since I seen you last,
I call you every day, but that doesn't make the pain go away,
The pain it lingers, every time I look at this ring on my finger,
I can't see them in your eyes, so I'm gonna make this poem cry,
We've been together about four years, we've shead our share of tears,
But we've never given up, we're there to pick eachother up,
I use to hide my emotions, now they flow like an ocean,
But you can't see them coming my eyes, so I gotta make this poem cry,
I've left you for months on end, it seems like forever since I checked back in,
I'm somewhere in Korea, answering the call to freedom,
I know your all alone, that's the word I get back home,
But I can't see them coming down your eyes, so I gotta make this poem cry,
You've always been strong, even when you knew I was wrong,
You showed me a life I could only dream of, The day you gave me your love,
You allowed the sun to shine, you gave me wings so I could fly,
But you can't see them falling from my eyes, so I had to make this poem cry.
