In this slow dance with darkness I have lost my self. Handed over to you like a token you let slip between your fingers.
Close to midnight, you may hear it. This fall pounding down the cliff of memory never found on the map in daylight. Its kisses will be sweeter than emptiness. Its embrace more certain than sleep.

Beautiful poem. Thank you for sharing.
Sleep and we go on and on for days without....only to crash and sleep the dreamless sleep....ever our souls to rest, as the baby bird all warm in a nest.

Goodness, this took my breath away. Reminds me of the times I became thin as a paper doll in my need and giving toward another.
