As we ride along the street in silence,
I watch you.
Your staring blankly
out the window.
A silence has fallen
between us.
I see your eyes drift
towards me.
Our song plays on the
radio.
You look at the radio,
then at me.
You reach for a button
and turn it up.
It is then I realize
you were meant for me.
