The cat is dead & gone
Like the smell?
The farmer is down & blue
When the squirrel becomes a rug
On the scapes of America's hard tops
The deer is a dent
Shattered window
& a tree jusmped out, in
All damage due to animal
The cat is dead & gone
Smell it's tail?
The thinker is dumb & stone
Thinking daisies don't grow on road
I need to get back out, in
I smell death on the wind
All damage due to animal
The dog is decaying to
Smell the tale?
A drunk on an opal
Speeding
Then waking in nightmare & hell
All damage due to animal

a good write indeed,
stimulating the mind i liked the part about the deer being the dent on the wind shield,expressive,
blessings,

(didnt understand the smelling the tale part..was that a memory you were displaying?
my cat gor run over afew weeks ago i wrote a poem for her called "for cleo" i tried to capture the evening so i could keep her memory forever. |
