Here lies the pencil and a sheet of paper...
Blank and empty it lays...
No thoughts are written down upon it
The pencil sits still... untouched...
As are the tears of my love...
I've meant not to ignore you... these last few days
I have not abandoned you...
You're in my heart to stay
Forever tucked so neatly within...
Among all those that I love...
You're defintely one of the special ones
I love you more than you'll ever know...
More than these few words that flow
The tears of my love...
You've cried and cried...
Until you can cry no more
You have no tears left within
Just a smile that's been turned upside down
To something more than a thin grin
The tears of my love...
They stream down your lovely face
This... a love sent from Heaven above
Brought down to find it's place
Among the tears... already cried
Those tears you try and hide...
The tears of my love
I mean not to neglect you...
Though I feel sometimes I do...
I get busy with something else
And forget everything and everyone around me
Can you ever forgive me?
'Cause now...
I feel... the tears of my love... begin to sting my eyes
I weep not for myself...
But for you and the wrong
I feel I have subjected you to
The tears of my love... flow...
And even so...
My heart grieves for you and the wrong
I feel I have done to you...
Now... all I have left are the tears and my love for you...
