Memories of Innocent Love
A lingering breeze carries your scent,
A fragrance of inner remembrance,
Your beautiful emerald eyes,
So enticing twin sparkling jewels,
Smooth skin carved into memory,
A marble statue forever untarnished,
My love for you will never be forgotten,
Even though you are now with another,
I part of my soul will always be yours,
I know our love will always shine,
So far in the past but always fresh,
We were young and innocent,
Our first time, our love unequaled,
Innocence freely given, consented by both,
My heart felt like it wanted to burst,
So full of emotions for you,
There were tears in your eyes,
But you hugged me tighter,
I knew then it wasnt pain but happiness,
And answered with tears of joy for you,
My memory of lost innocence,
Forever a part of my heart and soul.

Beautifully written, I am not much into remembering my past anymore, but Innocence of mine was something I am happy to remember....

Beautiful poem and very true, though the parting may have been painful and bitter, still there are the memories of the innocent and sweet.
