Ode to Jack the Ripper

Contributed by FleurdeSang on Sunday, 12th September 2004 @ 07:13:50 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

The night is your sanctuary,
Out for new blood again
Sweet flesh to carve,
They are your canvases
Masterful artist, that you are
Always dressed in your best,
Ready to kill
These prostitutes, they ruined your life
Their tainted mark branded on you,
It will always be there, until the day you die
You are the composer of this disturbed symphony
Quiet, dreadfully quiet,
Only the scampering of rats,
And the occasional mumbles of the filthy wretch not too far away
You see her there,
Radiant under the moonlight
Stars in her eyes,
Fire in her hair
She was perfect
You lure her in with grapes,
The fruit of sensuality
She cant resist
A little smile plays across your lips,
You have her in your grasp now
Fear, putrid and relentless,
You can smell ut emitting from her
You take out your paint brush,
Brilliant and sharp
The last thing she sees is her petrified reflection
A blood-curdling scream fills the streets of Paris,
But no one comes, as expected
The people are used to murders in the dead of the night
Delicious, this feeling inside,
As you carve meticulously into her pallid flesh
A final sigh escapes her ruby lips,
Her desolate heart has stopped beating
More beautiful than before,
The graceless moon spilling Her impurity upon the young wenchs ashen skin,
Her enthralling eyes obscure and lifeless
You cant help but steal a kiss from the dead angel,
Your warm lips brushing against the cold lips of Death
Irresistible, blissful, boundless,
Like ecstasy, this icy kiss
The world seemed to shine,
Everything was so surreal and enchanting
Like a dream,
A twisted, malevolent dream,
Slowly turning into a nightmare
Youre the monster,
That indescribable creature that lurks in the shadows,
Waiting, patiently waiting for that one moment to strike
Your mind is fevered and quite disturbed,
These thoughts are of a killer,
Searching for something to calm your unbridled desires
As I am writing this,
With vivid images of your masterpieces still coursing through me,
I realize you and I have a lot in common
You wish to prove them wrong,
You want to give them pain
You yearn to make them scream for mercy
Ah, such music they make!
However, sadly it ends
Leaving you craving endlessly for more
The night is almost gone,
Dawns peeking through the horizon
A dead body revenges not injuries
Are the only words you speak,
Always after the painting is completed
You walk off into the distance,
Merely a shadow now
Till later tonight,
You shall strike again
Here ends my ode to you, great ruler of my thoughts
The slayer whos name will forever be a legend, and a sweet song to my black heart
Jack the Ripper.

Very good write 'jack the ripper' was one of the tales my father used to tell me of old london town, he used to tell me about all sorts of gangsters and villains.
Then he would tell me they were the good old days!!

A very descriptive look into tainted darkness. Colorful words and dark images that shall accompany me into nocturnal journies many nights from now. I guess in that way, I take you with me into slumber. I will dream sweetly.
