What is love?
It's a question I've been asked... time and again
From many different people
Who have many different views...
On different ways to use or abuse
The word love... comes in many shapes... many forms
It may mean many different things... to many different people
So... what is love?
Love is patient...
Love is kind...
Love seeks out... what is divine...
Love doesn't hate...
And it's never too late...
To show someone you care...
Love should always build up...
Not tear... apart...
What has begun in the heart...
I can't do much... from where I'm at...
I can only offer these words...
And my prayers from the heart
Even though we're so far apart...
But I would love to hold you...
Feel you melt in my arms...
Become a part of me so seamlessly
Just to keep you safe and warm
From all the hate and harm...
That surrounds your life... right now
Just to hug you...
Hold you close and tight
So tenderly...
So you can see...
How it is to be...
Loved by someone...
Who loves you for you
And who would give their life...
If it would save yours
'Cause...
Love is patient...
Love is kind...
Love seeks out... what is divine...
Love doesn't hate...
And it's never too late...
To show someone you care...
Love should always build up...
