I'm on the verge
of tears
as I think
about what we used to have
I remember
when I was the one
and only girl
in your heart
And eventually
someone new took my spot
I can't help
but let go of everything
I've held in my chest
for so long
Every second
of every night and day
you're never more
than a thought away
We've tried so hard
so many times
to rebuild
what we thought
was an unbreakable
friendship
Each time i think
i have a firm grasp
you slip away
again
Even though my heart
hurts like hell
I think I should give up
Its so hard to let you go
I miss what we had ...
I loved what we had ...
I'll never forget what we had ...
