Friend

A friend is someone who is there for you,
Who would walk a mile in your shoes.
He or she would always cheer me up,
Would always be able to make me laugh.
We would enjoy the good times together,
And would help each other through the tough.
No matter where we live,
We would have a special bond.
And if you somehow were lost,
I would not rest until you were found.
We could share tears,
Both of joy and those of fears.
We would always know that we loved
One another, always until we rest above.
You would listen to my troubles and fears,
And I too would try to help you to see clear.
For someday all this will die,
And together forever, you and I.
