Fall Behind

How easy it was
to slip behind
and talk about
how we lied?

Yesterday i realised
that it was all so dumb
and we were all idiots
and my heart feels numb.

How long has it been
before we found out
how easy it was to fall behind
and at the time, there was no doubt?

How easy was it
to become a teenage chore
and not care about
anything anymore?

How easy it is
to slip behind
and talk about
how we lie?

I can relate to this. It is easy for anyone to fall behind when no one is looking. We can fall behind and not even realize it ourselves. For me..... I fell behind to a life of drugs. Keep up the good and talented wrties. There are too many teenagers like you and me who fall behind and stay left in the dark.
