The man named HOPE

Contributed by FleurdeSang on Wednesday, 15th September 2004 @ 03:04:09 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

Ive lost it all again,
My sense of feeling and direction have vanished
Numb with pain, abandoned by all
Alone. Like I was always meant to be
Where is my Lord?
Why wont He answer?
My Faith is slowly slipping,
My hope, completely gone
No one to comfort me in this time of need
Where are all my so-called friends?
I hate feeling this way, I hate thinking this way
But I cant prevent them,
I cannot cut the flow
This is my solace, my sanctuary
I live for the writing
I live because of the writing
The only way to unleash my sorrow, my anger, my hatred towards HIM!
Happiness came and went, like the wind through my hair
Just emptiness, a vast void that will never be filled
Battered and spent, I lay here in the confinements of this horrid room
So many memories
The head, full of ice flowers, melt and course down the cheeks
Trails of dissolved nostalgia imprinted on my skin
I feel so meek, so worthless
A hideous disgrace
Look at what I have become
Dark, revolting, fallen from grace
I am dead to the world
Where is my friend, my HOPE?
Why isnt he here to console me?
Rid me of these dreadful thoughts,
Shine light into my life
Wrap me in your sweet embrace,
Tell me that everything will be alright
Help this vile soul believe once more
I am seemingly lost without you
Let me gaze into your eyes,
And find your love for me
Show me that you care,
That Im not just another ordinary girl in your life..
Je suis la fleur de sufferance,
And forever shall be
I have sinned so much,
Purify me with your reassuring touch
Gorgeous soul that I call HOPE,
Rester en mon noir Coeur pour toujours
Mysterious man, messenger of God, answer to my prayers,
Piece together this shattered heart of mine,
Take away this darkness that inhabits my soul
Destroy the nightmare that haunts me so
Cure my corrupted mind
It is possible that HOPE resides in more than just one man
I truly believe that now
There is never only one person in the world who can give you that sense of completion,
Of being accepted for who you are,
Of being loved
HOPE takes in many different forms,
But you, my dearest companion, best fits him
I beseech you,
Watch over me,
Brush away my shameful tears
Be my luminous angel when I die,
My guide, my clear path
Dearest HOPE, stay with me forever
Dwell in my very being and bring back the feelings I used to have
God blessed me with you
I am no longer in pain, or in sorrow
Life seems to be worth living for now
Oh gracious one, how could I ever repay you for the things you have done for me?
How could I ever give you the same consolation, the same love?
I just hope one day, I can give you the thanks you deserve

"I feel so meek ..." ~ this is ok, for it is they that stand to inherit.
"...so worthless…" ~ No dear, you are priceless, there is a great difference.
"...A hideous disgrace…" ~ NEVER !!!
"... Dark, revolting, fallen from grace…" ~ beautiful is the flower, with a blinding inner radiance that illuminates the darkest of night.
"That I’m not just another ordinary girl in your life….." ~ There is no possible way anyone could ever consider you such.

The entirety of the words pull at my heart strings. I have been "marked", I wear the moon. I will feel her pull forever. HOPE lives on, for HOPE too, is eternal !!

Nazmythian ~
