Look into the mirror
and see the rebelious youth youve become
we've fallen from the truth of the light, our God, and the Son
Party late nights all day
another evening wasted to drink and smoke and die
we are humans wanting these things but do not know why
I know about all of you
and your troubles like cutting and lying and wanting true love
i know where you can get these things that you think of
i've been there once before
and i know how life hurts you when it stabs you in the back
you think you have the love you want, but it is what you really lack
God loves all the rebels
inside everyone of you, i know because he loved me
i fell the deepest in those places and it took near death for me to see
God loves all the sinners
that no one else will love, he loved me then and still does
he loves me now even though i still am what i was
You've tried to understand him
but i want to tell you that no one can or ever will
just believe and trust in him and wait for him to speak, be still
He will allow the hard times
to come into your lives, but never will he leave your side
when people say you cant be a christian by what you seem outside
humans will be themselves
they'll like what they like, and hate what they despise
but God will love the person all the same deep in their eyes
the church will judge you
and say that its blasphemy to like the the things you do
but God allows you to like things as long as you keep true
True to him and humble
be a living sacrafice of all youve been known of in the past
because first on earth, in heaven, he shall be last

| I really cried when i read this poem that was an amazing piece of art and really ment alot to me i have been there i am still there and this poem has great meaning to me and i am sure maney other readers! |
