In darkness they stand The troops on parade Faces solemn in the moonlight In darkness they wait Ready for inspection Morning brings in another The gravestones look on with stony silence

I hate war, but I have nothing but admiration for soldiers. I like the "stony silence" line, I thought that was clever. This was a cool poem |

A neverending, continually growing Battalion. They will never fail, they will always be remembered. Thanks for writing a thought provoking tribute to those who suffered the ultimate sacrifice. Well done.
