Hello darkness my old friend,
Its so nice to see you again,
Give me a hug, a warm embrace,
Let me feel the pain and be unchaste,
I shall be blind to all of the good around,
It shall remain buried within the ground,
Dark feelings and emotions surging throughout my veins,
Where evil thoughts lurk and in my head it loudly sings,
Things never change when Im with you my dear,
When were together there is everything to fear,
The people, the places, the hatred that emerges,
The self harm, the ignorance deep within submerges,
To look out the window seeing through our eyes,
Witnessing together the black dreary skies,
When I am with you I feel strangely safe,
Though I know that I am way out of place,
So we can spend time with one another,
I am your child and you are my mother,
So when we are finished and go separate ways,
Ill leave you behind until the sad future days,
I will greatly miss you my dear old friend,
I hope to see you very soon again.
