24hour Pedal Prix

Contributed by inoc on Sunday, 19th September 2004 @ 02:54:38 AM in AEST
Topic: Event

the excitments brewing for our first years pedal prix
weve been training all year
and todays the race
where everyone far and wide mix freely

the officials and stewerts are all ready for the bikes to start
we pitch our tents
for the big 24 hour race
for our three teams of 8 to take part

the teachers and parents give a helping hand
they time us, feed us
and attend to our bikes
when we stack them they hurry and make them again stand

sometimes the wheel is bent
the steering is out of enlinement
after it's fixed well
they post us off proud like a handmade letter is sent

once the race has started and there's jobs to do
keep track of the oppersition
record every lap
swap all riders after the laps they can manage
let them have a little sleep too

theres three catorgory sections
that the 200 teams enter into
so the joy to win
is rewarded at the end of hour 24
and to to see the winners reactions

once home after not much sleep
too much sun
and the freezing morning frosts
can't wait for next year
we will all be there again but not like lost sheep
