A moment of peace found my eyes
When freedom breathed through my hair
The road shone blue under starburst skies
I could feel home but couldnt feel where
I spoke to you and listened a while
Hope melted in the rising moon
Wind moved the trees, but I had no smile
No, not tonight; but maybe soon
Cold and alone in this bed of mine
Tonight I give innocence for strife
For to truly live but a moment in time
I would ask no more of life
